AI/ML Developer (.NET / C#) – Contract / Remote

Fog City Code Works is a boutique software design and development company located in the San Francisco Bay Area. We work with innovative clients and provide software and cloud-based solutions for enterprise and business applications. We have a long history of successful projects with Silicon Valley clients and offer the highest levels of professional service in our industry.

We have an immediate opening for a C# developer. Must have a solid experience interfacing with Large Language Model (LLM) APIs, implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) strategies, and developing multi-shot prompting workflows. This is a contractor position (1099). The work is 100% remote with regular meetings via MS-Teams. Contract duration is 6-12 months. There is a strong likelihood of contract extension for the right fit.

Key Responsibilities:

• • • LLM API Integration: Develop and maintain robust interfaces with leading LLM APIs to support various application functionalities.
    • RAG Implementation: Design and implement Retrieval Augmented Generation pipelines to enhance information retrieval and contextual relevance in AI systems.
    • Prompt Engineering: Craft and refine multi-shot prompting strategies to optimize model responses and achieve desired outcomes.
    • ML Training & Optimization: Participate in the full machine learning lifecycle—from data collection and preprocessing to model training, fine-tuning, and deployment.
    • NLP Solutions: Build and integrate natural language processing applications to extract meaningful insights from unstructured data. 
    • Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely with fellow engineers to continuously improve system performance and explore emerging AI techniques.
    • Performance Monitoring: Develop testing and monitoring protocols to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and scalability of AI-driven solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 8-10 years’ experience working in a professional environment with C#.
• 5-8 years’ experience working with cloud services AWS and / or Azure.
• Proven experience with LLM API Integration, RAG methodologies, multi-shot prompt engineering
• Experience in machine learning model training, fine-tuning, and optimization
• Solid hands-on experience with Visual Studio Professional, Jira or Azure DevOps, Git.
